Grant of the Week: Alice Davis Hitchcock Book Award from the Society of Architectural Historians

AHA Staff | Jun 18, 2010

The Alice Davis Hitchcock Book Award, from the Society of Architectural Historians, recognizes the most distinguished work of scholarship on the history of architecture by a North American scholar. For the purposes of this award, “architectural history” is interpreted loosely, to include such fields as gardens and stage design, when presented in close conjunction with the history of architecture. Books dealing only in part with architecture are also eligible. Only publishers may submit entries. The award consists of certificates and citations, which will be presented to the publisher or sponsoring organization and the author(s) during the society’s Annual Meeting. Deadline for applications is July 31, 2010. See the book award page for more information and instructions on how to apply.
