Grant of the Week: The Lincoln Prize from Gettysburg College and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History

The Lincoln Prize is a $50,000 award given annually for the finest scholarly work in English on Abraham Lincoln, or the American Civil War soldier, or a subject relating to that era. The prize is awarded by Gettysburg College and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The prize will generally go to a book but in rare instances an important article or essay might be honored. See the prize page for more information. The deadline for submitted books (there is no entrance fee or form) is November 1, 2010.
