The National Endowment for the Humanities is offering four different summer seminars and workshops for K-12, community college, and university teachers. Applications for all of these programs are due March 1, 2011. They include:

• Summer Seminars and Institutes for School Teachers
  Full-time teachers in American K-12 schools, whether public, charter, independent, or religiously affiliated, as well as home-schooling parents, are eligible to apply to NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes. Americans teaching abroad are also eligible if a majority of the students they teach are American citizens. Librarians and school administrators may also be eligible. Stipends range between $2,100 and $4,500, depending on the length of the seminar. Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
• Summer Seminars and Institutes for College and University Teachers
  NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes are designed primarily for teachers of American undergraduate students. Qualified independent scholars and those employed by museums, libraries, historical societies, and other organizations may be eligible to compete provided they can effectively advance the teaching and research goals of the project. Adjunct faculty, community college faculty and first-time participants are encouraged to apply. Stipends range between $2,100 and $4,500, depending on the length of the seminar. Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
• Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshops for School Teachers
  These projects are designed for faculty members at American community colleges. Adjunct and part-time lecturers as well as full-time faculty are eligible to apply. Other community college staff, including librarians and administrators, are eligible to compete, provided they can advance the teaching and/or research goals of the workshop. An applicant need not have an advanced degree in order to qualify. Stipend: $1,200. Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
• Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshops for Community College Faculty
  These projects are designed principally for classroom teachers and librarians in public, charter, independent, and religiously-affiliated schools, as well as home schooling parents. Other K-12 school personnel, including administrators, substitute teachers, and classroom professionals, are eligible to participate, subject to available space. Stipend: $1,200. Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
