Grant of the Week: Humboldt Research Fellowships

AHA Staff | May 20, 2011

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified scientists and scholars of all nationalities and fields to conduct extended periods of research in Germany in cooperation with academic hosts at German institutions. There are two types of Humboldt Research Fellowships: those for postdoctoral researchers and those for experienced researchers. Fellowships are awarded solely on the basis of the applicant’s academic record, the quality and feasibility of the proposed research and the candidate’s international publications. In addition to the monthly stipend, additional allowances are available for accompanying family members, travel expenses, and German language instruction.  No deadline, applications may be submitted at any time.
