The Manuscript Society is accepting applications for its $5,000 Ricard Maass Memorial Research Grant, available to students at member colleges and universities. The grant supports research expenses directly related to use of original manuscripts, such as travel to manuscript repositories, photocopies, and user fees. For more information, see the website linked to this announcement.
Applicants must hold the bachelor’s degree and be formally enrolled in an accredited College or University in an advanced degree program, with preference given to doctoral students. Applicants must demonstrate that their research involves considerable work with original manuscript material. The Grant is to be used solely for research purposes, e.g., travel to manuscript repositories, photocopy expenses, user fees, and may not be used for tuition expenses.
