Vanessa Varin | Sep 6, 2013

The Immigration and Ethnic History Society (IEHS) announces its first annual award for an outstanding dissertation in the field of immigration and ethnic history. The IEHS will confer the award at its annual meeting in the spring of 2014. To be considered dissertations must focus on some aspect of North American immigration and/or ethnicity, be successfully defended between Sept. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2013, and be submitted to the award committee by November 15, 2013. All submissions must be accompanied by a letter of support from the dissertation director. One copy of the dissertation–either electronic or hard copy–should be sent to each member of the award committee. The award carries a cash gift of $1,500.
