National History Center Announces Washington History Seminar Lineup

The Washington History Seminar, a joint venture of the National History Center of the American Historical Association and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars with support from the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations, begins on September 8.
Peter Finn of the Washington Post kicks off the seminar series with a talk on his new book, The NHC-LOGO(Pantone555)Zhivago Affair: The Kremlin, the CIA, and the Battle over a Forbidden Book.  Over the semester, several other seminars will examine Cold War and American diplomatic history. We will also range across topics including French Jewish history in the era of the Holocaust, real estate in Jim Crow Florida, Martin Luther King’s legacy, and British leadership during the American Revolution. The series will close with Rutgers professor Suzy Kim talking about everyday life during the North Korean Revolution. We are very excited that Akira Iriye will offer his thoughts on recent historiographic trends and transnational relations. The full schedule is available on the National History Center’s website.
