To all historians who enjoy sharing research and ideas via social media, we cordially invite you to a reception for history bloggers and Twitterstorians, cosponsored by the AHA and MapStory.

Date: Friday, January 2

Time: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Location: Sheraton New York, Central Park East Room

Mingle with fellow historians, discuss upcoming sessions, and get your hashtags straight. Whether you’re experienced in social media or just beginning, join us to share thoughts on how to stay connected at the meeting. This reception is partially concurrent with the Reception for Graduate Students, which will be right next door in the Central Park West room. Feel free to move between events.

The AHA is passionate about expanding history’s reach through digital means, and we are excited to have like-minded digital enthusiasts at this year’s annual meeting. We encourage you to blog on your experiences attending sessions, networking, and touring. We also encourage Twitterstorians to embrace the spirit of Twitter community by posting to Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms referencing #AHA2015—the official hashtag of this year’s annual meeting. Comment on session discussions and share them with those tuning in from afar.

We look forward to seeing you at AHA 2015!
