Grant of the Week: The Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Horowitz Book Prize

Zoe Jackson | Jan 24, 2018

Every week, AHA Today showcases a new grant, fellowship, or scholarship of interest to historians which has been posted to our free Calendar. This week we are featuring the Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Horowitz Book Prize.

Bard Graduate Center is pleased to announce its inaugural Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Horowitz Book Prize, awarded annually to the best book on the decorative arts, design history, or material culture of the Americas. The prize will reward scholarly excellence and commitment to crossdisciplinary conversation.

Eligible titles include monographs, exhibition catalogues, and collections of essays in any language, published in print or in digital format. Submissions for books published in 2017 are due no later than March 1, 2018. The winner, announced on June 1, 2018, will be chosen by a committee of Bard Graduate Center faculty and will be honored with a symposium on the subject of the book.
