Before you head to the 125th Annual Meeting in Boston this January check out our roundup of apps you might want to download. We’ve found free and cheap apps to help you navigate the Boston Freedom Trail, museums, and the MBTA. Also, learn which apps will keep you up-to-date with Boston News, locate the nearest restaurant or Starbucks (and their free wifi), and even track an 1849 Boston murder.
So between texting colleagues, checking for Job Center messages, and calling home to share what a good time you’re having, make use of some of these apps. And if you can’t make it to meeting this year, stay home and take a look back at the history apps we rounded up earlier this year.
And let us know in the comments what apps you’ll be using in Boston.

- Tour Boston’s Freedom Trail

The Tour Boston’s Freedom Trail app (for iPhone and Android) covers 40 stops on Boston’s Freedom Trail and provides audio, HD videos, maps, historical info, restroom locations, handicap accessibility, contact info and hours of operation. While you’re at the meeting, if you don’t want to head to the Hynes or the Quiet Room (which will both be offering free wireless internet), maybe you want to check out a nearby Starbucks. Check out the myStarbucks iPhone app and the Find Starbucks Android App.
