New Session: Quantitative Analysis of Culture Using Millions of Digitized Books

Erez Lieberman-Aiden and Jean-Baptiste Michel, both at Harvard University, recently led a team that published a paper in Science magazine describing the quantitative analysis of historical trends using millions of digitized books, and that concurrently released the ngrams.googlelabs.org browser (which AHA Today noted last month in What We’re Reading). They will discuss their work in a newly added session this Saturday at the 125th Annual Meeting. See the session details below:

  1. Comment:

I searched in vain for this session—it was not in the room indicated here.

  2. Comment:

We’re very sorry for any confusion. As far as I know this was the room it was supposed to be in, but I’ll definitely look into it.
