January 06, 2008

Sunday Overview – 122nd Annual Meeting

It’s the final day of the 122nd Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association, but there are still dozens of sessions and events left. Or, take advantage of being in D.C. and take in the sites and sounds. Continue reading to find out a few things you may have missed and should check out.

Sessions
From women historians to blogs to the job market, sessions today run a gamut of topics.

Washington D.C. Points of Interest
If all of your sessions, interviews, and meetings are done, why not check out the D.C. beyond the hotel? Wander up the street from the Annual Meeting hotels to the National Zoo (open till 6 p.m.), take the metro to the National Museum of the American Indian (open till 5:30 p.m.), or head downtown to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (open till 5:30 p.m.). For more options, check out the multitude of articles in the Annual Meeting Supplement, as well as an extensive and detailed list of other “points of interest” prepared by the Local Arrangements Committee.

  1. Comment:

The link given for the session on “Taking History to the Newspapers . . .” is not the correct link. I hope it can be fixed.
