Grant of the Week: High School Essay Contest

The American Planning Association (APA) is holding its annual high school essay contest, in which two $5,000 college scholarships will be awarded. High school juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. In the essays, students are asked to create a historic preservation plan for their community. The plan should focus on preserving the community’s significant historic areas, buildings, elements or features. The essays are due January 15, 2009. For more details on the contest and instructions on how to apply see the APA’s contest page.
