Grant of the Week: Hench Post-Dissertation Fellowship

The American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, Massachusetts is offering the Hench Post-Dissertation Fellowship, which provides a year-long residential fellowship at the society for recipients to revise their dissertation for publication.  Applicants must be no more than three years beyond receipt of the doctorate to be eligible. Any topic relevant to the society’s library collections and programmatic scope—that is, American history and culture through 1876—is eligible. The society welcomes applications from those who have advance book contracts, as well as those who have not yet made contact with a publisher. The twelve-month stipend for this fellowship is $35,000. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2009. For more information and instructions on how to apply see the Hench Post-Dissertation Fellowship on the American Antiquarian Society web site.
