Bibliography Built Right In

By David Darlington

Just in time for back-to-school, Mozilla is offering a “campus edition” of its popular web browser, Firefox 2.0. One of the special features of this edition is the Zotero plug-in, which helps users gather, organize, and analyze sources (citations, full texts, web pages, images, and other objects), and share the results of their research right from within the browser. With more classroom research being done on the internet these days (for better and for worse) Zotero strives to make organizing bibliographies and collaborating on research projects easier for everyone. Zotero is the brainchild of the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. We profiled a beta version of the software back in October 2006.
