Edsitement Provides Resources for National Hispanic Heritage Month

Edsitement, a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is recognizing National Hispanic Heritage Month with a special page of resources. The U.S. Government created Hispanic Heritage Month in 1988, and each year it runs from September 15th to October 15th.
On Edsitement’s Hispanic Heritage Month page you’ll find descriptions and information on a variety of lesson plans. Including: Common Visions, Common Voices, Esperanza Rising: Learning Not to Be Afraid to Start Over, and Mexican Culture and History through Its National Holidays. The web site also offers a collection of links to other relevant sites, like the Smithsonian’s Teodoro Vidal Collection, PBS’s The City/La Ciudad, and the University of Oregon’s Web de Anza.
And while you’re there, visit Edsitement’s archive of monthly features, and find resources on other topics like the Bill of Rights, the National Mall, the Statue of Liberty, and more.
