The deadline for submitting proposals for the 128th annual meeting in 2014 in Washington, D.C., is Friday, February 15. The online proposal system will automatically shut down at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. (Note that this is 8 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time.)

Over the years, we have realized that there are some myths circulating about what the Program Committee looks for in a session proposal. Here are a few common misunderstandings.
Myth: Your proposal will be accepted if you line up a famous chair.
The Program Committee is much more interested in the quality of the proposal and the information that will be presented at the session than the name recognition of the chair.
The electronic system for submitting proposals for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC is now available online. Submissions must be complete by February 15, 2013.
Before starting to enter a proposal, session organizers should review the Call for Proposals and the Annual Meeting Guidelines. A list of information required to submit a complete proposal is on the website.
